Who We Are
Waypoint Church is a new church starting this fall in Northwest Las Vegas.
We are a non-denominational Christian church being planted by The Crossing and other partners to help people find and follow Jesus. Beginning this fall, we will gather on Sundays at Escobedo Middle School.
Waypoint is a church for real, imperfect people walking together with Jesus and helping others discover the life he makes possible.
In a world that feels scattered, confusing, and exhausting, we are longing for
truth we can build their lives on,
belonging where we can be known without pretending,
and purpose beyond simply getting through the week.
We believe that kind of life is found in Jesus.
Whether you are new to church, coming back after a long time, or looking for a church to call home, we would love to help you take your next step with Jesus.
Why the Northwest?
Northwest Las Vegas has grown rapidly in recent years. Communities like Skye Canyon, Providence, and Centennial Hills are now home to tens of thousands of people—but north of the 215 there is only about one Christian church for every 30,000 residents. We believe every community deserves places where people can encounter Jesus, find belonging, and grow in faith. That’s why we’re starting a new church in Northwest Las Vegas.
About the Pastor
Seth Philip and his wife, Megan, are planting Waypoint Church in Northwest Las Vegas. Before moving to Las Vegas, they spent nearly 15 years in Japan helping start new churches and walking alongside people from all kinds of backgrounds as they explored faith.
Now, along with their four kids, they’re glad to call Las Vegas home.
Seth cares deeply about creating a church where anyone can come as they are—whether they’ve followed Jesus for years or aren’t sure what they believe. Waypoint is a place to ask honest questions, build real relationships, and take a next step with Jesus.

Waypoint Church is preparing for our first public event in Northwest Las Vegas at the end of June, and this is a great time to jump in. Join us for a Waypoint Interest Meeting at The Crossing Windmill Campus on Sunday, June 14 at 1:15 PM, right after the service. You’ll hear the vision, meet the team, and discover practical ways to help start a new church in a growing part of town with tons of people, great need, and very few churches. Exciting things are happening — and this summer is a unique opportunity to be part of it.

A hands-on run-through of Sunday setup and teardown
Join us for a hands-on run-through of Sunday setup and teardown at Escobedo. We’ll learn how our Sunday environments come together, practice the flow, and spend time hanging out as a launch team. It will be a practical and fun day to serve together. I can’t believe we get to do this!

Join us for a relaxed morning at Waypoint Church. Beginning at 9:30 AM, tour the facility, explore our future worship and kids environments, meet others interested in Waypoint, and enjoy free coffee and donuts.
Then at 10:00 AM, join us for a brief gathering where we’ll pray together and hear from our pastor about the vision for Waypoint and why this new church is being started.
Bring the whole family—everyone is welcome. RSVPs are appreciated and help us plan, but they are not required.

The launch team is the group of people helping start Waypoint Church. It’s for anyone who wants to be part of something new—meeting people, building community, and exploring a different way of life shaped by Jesus as we create something meaningful in our city.
We get together twice a month. Sundays at 3:30 and Tuesdays at 6:30.
